SECRET SRI LANKA TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

These terms and conditions apply to all trips organised by Secret Sri Lanka whose registered office is at Sussex Innovation Centre, Science Park Square, Brighton, BN2 8SB

The contract for the supply of any trip/tour is between Secret Sri Lanka. Your contract incorporates these terms and conditions and by making a booking with Secret Sri Lanka, you confirm your acceptance to these terms and conditions and the exclusion of any other terms and conditions which you make seek to apply to the contract.

In this document:

We; or ‘us’ or ‘our’ means Secret Sri Lanka

You’ means the person making the booking, and includes all members of the party included on a particular booking – who will be required to acknowledge receipt and acceptance of these terms and conditions.

Participant’ includes you and any other person taking part in the trip.

 

PRIOR TO BOOKING

Hotel Grading

The majority of our favourite hotels used in our itineraries are 3 or 4 star ratings.

Hotel Rooms

Prices are generally communicated on the basis of two people sharing. However, if you require a single room please let us know and we can accommodate for this. It is likely there will be a surcharge required by the hotel.

‘From’ Prices

Prices can fluctuate depending on personal requirements and seasonal variations, this is represented through the ‘from’ prices on our website.

BOOKING AND PAYMENT

Reservations

When you make a booking with Secret Sri Lanka, we will reserve your trip – provisionally – on the basis of these terms and conditions. A binding contract will come into existence once we receive your deposit, and issue a Confirmation Invoice sent either in the form of an email or postal letter. Prior to the confirmation invoice, we will communicate our acknowledgement of payment via a receipt. Any acknowledgement such as this serves simply to acknowledge payment and is not a confirmation of booking.
Confirmation

Upon receiving your Confirmation Invoice, along with any other documents which we send you, please read through and check them immediately. If there appears to be any incomplete or incorrect information on the Confirmation Invoice – or on any supporting documents – please contact us. We cannot accept any responsibility if we are not notified of any inaccuracies in any documents within 14 days of sending it out. Although we will do our best to rectify any incomplete or inaccurate information outside of this time frame, we will not take responsibility for any costs and expenses which occur (i.e hotel booking amendment fees) which fall outside of the aforementioned 14 day period.

Deposit

We will charge a deposit per person at the time of booking – this is to cover a range of fees which we incur as soon as we start sculpting your holiday. This is £350pp and is not refundable.

Cancellations

Unfortunately due to the network of suppliers we use in order to provide our tours, it can be difficult to return funds to customers who have to cancel their trip for whatever reason. Please ensure you obtain travel insurance.

Unforeseeable Circumstances

We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseeable circumstances such as extreme weather, civil war or unrest, or terrorist activity, for example. Unforeseeable circumstances are those, which even with all due care, could not be foreseen or avoided.

Amendments to Booking

If you wish to amend your booking – for instance changing the name of a passenger – this will incur a £25 admin fee. You will also be charged for any fees which we incur when amending your booking. These fees include, but are not limited to: hotel booking amendment fees; insurance fees and visa application costs.

Insurance

We encourage you to seek private travel insurance, as this will protect you financially in areas which our insurance will not – such as any medical assistance which may or may not be required whilst you are on your holiday.

Passports/Visa

You will require an in date passport to travel to Sri Lanka along with a Visa. We will arrange your visa(s) on reception of the necessary details. We will confirm all details with you prior to submitting visa applications and cannot take responsibility for any errors after this point. We ask that you thoroughly check all documents.

Children

Please discuss with us your requirements.

Data Confidentiality

All data collected by us, will not be passed on to any unnecessary third parties. Data will only be passed on, when necessary, to the relevant suppliers of your trip i.e hotels. In making a booking with us, you consent to data being passed on to principal and relevant suppliers. Please see our privacy policy for more information.

Financial Protection

You will be financially protected through full bonding insurance, if you would like more information on the policy we hold please do not hesitate to contact us.

Insurance

Along with full bonding protection, your trip will also be covered by public liability and public indemnity insurance. However, this does not affect your requirement to take out personal travel insurance; we highly recommend that you do take out private travel insurance for the duration of your trip.
